We also recycle thousands of pounds of paper a year including old and tattered books.

We are looking into a new program to help our older books find a better home. We are talking with Better World Books about their program. http://www.betterworldbooks.com/

This is their environmental impact statement:

This is awesome! You should create a page on this wiki dedicated to the topic of recycling books. We do this in more ways that actual recycling- though book fairs and sales of used items to the public. This is great! Keep us posted. Do you find this valuable?
